The Coronavirus (Safeguards) Bill 2020: Proposed protections for digital interventions and in relation to immunity certificates: This Bill attempts to provide safeguards in relation to the symptom tracking and contact tracing apps that are currently being rolled out in the UK; and anticipates minimum safeguards that will be needed if we move on to a roll out of “immunity certificates” (commonly known as passports) in the near future.

Time out for torts: The time is ripe for immunity for COVID-19: On May 11, attorneys general from 21 states wrote to the Senate Judiciary Committee’s chair and ranking member, requesting federal liability protection to help mitigate the threat of frivolous litigation related to COVID-19.
