Dr Maria Van Kerkhove: 'There are no inevitable subsequent peaks or waves of coronavirus': Maria Van Kerkhove is an American epidemiologist and a technical lead on
the World Health Organisation's Covid-19 response programme. She spoke
to the Telegraph’s Global Health Security team about how
coronavirus has worsened existing inequalities, the gendered nature of
